COPYWRITER
Hey, it’s Virginia or V! (depending on your affliction to the state) Also no, I was not born there. And yes, I have heard that joke before. Now that that’s out of the way, let’s get back to more about me.
Coming from a Dominican family, it’s hard to hear yourself over all the noise, so naturally, I decided to become a copywriter. Trust me, it was the only way to get the last word.
Talking about words, i’ve always seemed to have a way with them, whether it was a nature vs. nurture situation, that’s still up for discussion. Considering my parents forced me to write everyone’s birthday cards till about the age of 17, and the fact that I have like a million family members, you could say i’ve had a lot of practice with well wishes. So eventually, I got pretty good at finding a million different ways to say the same thing while still producing a heartwarming message, and lucky for me that turned out to be a transferrable skill.
I'd label myself a multitasker by trade. I strive to flourish in uncomfortable spaces, finding creative solutions to anything thrown my way. Figuratively and, if necessary, literally as well. [not included in my resume but i do have cat-like reflexes] [also not included sadly :( allergic to cats]
I tell people copywriting is my passion. Not in the hilarious way the internet has twisted that phrase, but in the way where making typos, concepting crazy scenarios, and even waking up in the middle of the night to jot down a funny headline all seem like a good time to me.
Anyways, thanks for stopping by and if you want more than a one-sided conversation, let’s chat! I promise i’m a really good listener.
